ECC Opal

This New Build 14mtr Blyth Catamaran joined the fleet in late June 2010. Sistership to Strider, which entered service in June 2009, Opal has the same extended accomodation which can be configured for transfer of upto 12 crew in individual seating or re-configured for flexible open plan survey/ROV space. Opal has been built with the ability to service wind turbines with a "walk-around" side deck configuration and a re-inforced bow ready for a personnel transfer platform.

Opal also features a 600mm x 600mm Moonpool for deployment of small survey equipment such as specialised echosounders or drop camera's. Ready for survey work, Opal features 3.5kw pure sine wave Inverter supported by a dedicated engine driven high output alternator.
